Interview transcript:This is our interview with Mrs Smith, teacher of 5/6/7 Smith Computer-based learning class at Stuart Park Primary School.

1. What type of work do you do with your class?

I do many different things with my class but we do lots of activities using computers because I teach a computer based learning class room.

2. Do you enjoy teaching at this school?

Yes, I enjoy teaching at Stuart Park Primary School, it's probably one of the best schools at which I've taught. The staff are great and the kids are a pleasure to be around!

3. How long have you been teaching at the school?

This is my third year at Stuart Park Primary School. I arrived at the beginning of 1999.

4. Have you seen many changes since you've been here?

Yes, I have. Some changes include the School Refurbishment. I am glad the School got upgraded because when I arrived it was very old and needed to be updated. The refurbishment took about 1 year and a half to fully complete, now the buildings are beautiful and we have lots of room to move around. I was given the opportunity to teach in a wonderful learning environment because of these changes.

5. Do you enjoy teaching this The Computer Based Learning Class?

Yes I do. The class challenges me and there's always something new to learn each day. The kids constantly seem to be more motivated to learn new things.

7. Do you think there is anything the school could improve?

That's a hard question! There have been lots of changes lately and I guess there's always room for improvement. However, exactly what that is I'm not sure.

8. For all of your teaching years, have you ever taught a Computer Class apart from here at Stuart Park?

No I haven't, this is my second year teaching a Computer-Based Learning Class. I have always used computers in my classroom although never where everyone has had a computer in front of them.

9. Have you always wanted to teach this sort a Computer Based Learning Class?

This class is almost one of a kind, there aren't many others in Australia so I didn't know this sort of classroom existed until I got to teach this one. I would like to continue to teach this class but maybe not always here at Stuart Park.
