Stuart Park Primary School was opened in 1966 with an initial enrolment of 32 children. Prior to this the area was used as "The Police Paddock" and horses of the Northern Territory Troopers were kept here. Earlier this year a large horse shoe was dug up in the Early Childhood playground. This shoe is now proudly displayed at the top of our "Step Back in Time" - A History of the Stuart Park Area wall mural. The mural was constructed by the students of Stuart Park under the guidance of Rose and the Artists in Schools Project.
