Student task:
Design and construct a form of communication technology for the future.

Consider who could use the communication technology. Give the new invention a name, label the different parts and describe how it works.

Questions/tasks to investigate:

  • What are some of the current communication technologies we are using in school and at home?
What is the invention to do?
What is the invention not to do?

  • How will this technology operate?
  • Where will the technology operate eg. in the home, in remote areas, in a large network office/school?
  • Give your communication technology a name - remember to label the different parts.
  • If you have time also try and construct a small invention.
