I absolutely love the climate. I was born in Port Augusta
as were both my parents and grandparents. My Husband was
from the Ukraine - he came to Australia in 1948 after having
been released from a Concentration Camp in 1945 |

Baluch> We have two wonderful Tourisat attractions - Wadlatta Interpretive
Centre, which tells the story of the outback, and what the
country was like 40,000 years ago and prior to European
colinisation. he other is the Australian Arid Lands Botanic
garden which has the backdrop of the Finders Ranges - we
are the Crosssroads of Australia and as a consequence have
tra vellers going up and down the Stuart Highway and Eyre
Highway. The two highways meet at the top of the gulf. With
the introduction of the Adelaide Darwin rail link we expect
to double our tourist trade. It would be difficult to say
how many travel through the Centre of the Universe - but
at both locations we get approximately 120,000 visitors |
